Production Director

Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art, and was working on a Masters with visions of teaching Art History at some prestigious university. Instead, I graciously accepted an all expense paid vacation to Vietnam (’68) from my Uncle Sam; spent a year working for the Texas Department of Corrections; 3 1/2 years as a Certified Texas Peace officer; had my own screen printing and commercial art business.. so naturally, I ended up in radio (since 1977), working at contemporary Christian & oldies stations before landing in K-Star Country! Radio is sort of a Twilight Zone inhabited by strange people, which makes me feel right at home. Stations include KMCV, KJOJ, KKNX, KYLR & KVST. Along with On-Air duties, I have held the positions of Assistant Program Director, Music Director, News Director and Production Director. I have done voice-over work for TV commercials, and co-created and produced “The Lamb & Lion Morning Show” – one of the first two-man morning shows in Christian radio. I have also emceed and produced concerts, hosted and produced talk shows, public affairs, programs and interviews with music artists, authors and public servants. Georgia, my wife (Married in 1974), wants me to grow up and get a real job.

Just for fun…
